I've been extra busy lately, with a big comission that I am currently finishing - which means more updates again, yay! I have a couple of drawings that I didn't get to finish before and I am super excited to show them to you
So I decided to do the little fun questionnaire as well, stolen from
. Let's get going then!1. How long have you been on DeviantArt.
Actually that's quite embarrasing how long I've been here without becoming more recognised or doing more fun stuff. I've been here as Aakami for the whole 7 years, but before I've had this little account with my surname as a nick (laaame) made just to comment on people. It's been back in the highschool when I still thought that I couldn't draw to save me life.2. What does your username mean?
Not much, but at the time I was writing a short fantasy story about a girl, Akami, living in a Stone City. Nothing happened with it and I abandoned it quite quickly, but I used the Stone City and the idea to call cities like that (Forest City, Lake City, Wind City etc.) in my novel, and the name stayed as my Internet nickname. I added one more "a" because "Akami" was already taken.
3. Are you left or right handed?
Right handed.4. What was your first deviation?
I delete most of my oldest stuff when it's not revelant anymore, but I think that the first little chibi Kakashi that you can still find here:
was actually the first thing that I've uploaded. I've been drawing the triangle-bodied characters for a while then 5. What is your favourite type of art to create?
Digital, I do like to sketch on paper but it's veeeeeery occasional, and I can't do anything else 6. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
The good news is that what I want to achieve is on the end of the route I am already on, it's just that I still have billion light years before I actually get there. But if I could get someone's style overnight, I would go with
I mean, look at his art. Loook at iiiit. 7. What was your first favourite?
. Which makes sense because he was a person who made me interested in drawing. He was bugging me for half a school year saying that I should start drawing because I would be great in it, and I was telling him that a) he's crazy b) I can't draw, I just can't draw go away. Yeeeah, I told him, all right. 8. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Wow, that's a good question. I favourite what I find pretty. A lot of fanart, a lot of mindblowing images, but also a lot of stuff about which I think "hey, it might be useful later" - if I already have an idea for something I would like to draw then I tend to favourite all the pretty art that covers the same technique or idea. On pinterest, on the other hand, which is lately my main source of inspiration, I hoard almost only the inspiration and tutorials.9. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
I don't think that I have one. I used to have much more artists that I followed but they either stopped being active here or they changed the style and I no longer can say that they are my favourite here. But for now, I'd say:
because of art and because :Sunstone" is the best written love story I've ever read, and because he treats BDSM very seriously and his comic is not only entertaining, fascinating, sexy and well-drawn but it's also very mature.
Speaking of story telling, was one of the first I ever followed, and I need to finish reading all her stories because her story telling skills are basically the best.
Last but not least I have to say that I really love , also for her easy-going, happy attitude and the fact that she ALWAYS makes time to answer comments, even though she's insanely popular and no one would be surprised if she didn't <3
10. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I've met few wonderful people on here, even if they are not in my life anymore (or as much as I would wish) and I am kinda sad that I haven't met more friends here. Recently I've met
who is the best person ever and a very talented artist and I am definitely counting on the meeting 11. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
I've met here a person who once was my best friend, and that was the most beautiful friendship I ever had.12. What are your preffered tools to create art?
Wacom Cintiq 13HD changed my life
Also Photoshop CE (I like old programms apparently XD)13. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
I always draw at home, but I really like to write outdoors. I take inspiration from anywhere, but I usually browse Pinterest and Deviantart for hours before starting to actually draw!14. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
I'd say meeting my beautiful friends but I am insanely grateful for all comments and every and each kind word that I get from people, even if I don't get that many of feedback (Edited) 15. Describe yourself in three words.
independant, stubborn, a dreamer
