Hope you've head great holiday break and that your plans for New Years are thrilling and exciting!
2015 was a big year for me and I can say that it's been the first year in a very long time most of which I've been actually and simply happy. I managed to realise my longest and biggest dream of living in UK - for now only for student exchange, but with every intention of coming back here after few months of wrapping up things with uni and life at home. These past few months were literally the best thing that's happened to me and gods know I needed this feeling of stupidly smiling without no reason every time I am on the street.
It's been also a good year drawing-wise. I've got my first comission in (board) game industry, and - advertising time!! - since this month I am doing colouring on y good friend
's amazing comic. The deal is simple - for the first year the comic is going to be visible only to his patreon backers (for as little as $1!), and those who donate $3 or more are going to be able to DECIDE ON WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN THROUGH A WEEKLY POLL
. Now if it's not absolutely awesome idea, I don't know what is.
I am really excited about this project - I really love doing colours on it, and it's a great practice for before I launch my own project - yes, I know I've been talking about it for so long, but I am ready to actually start doing this thing and it's not even resolution, it's a PLAN for 2016.
2015 was decent creatively too - I started to write again, after several years of a writer's block and even though the path is hard, I am getting there. I'm happy to see lot of experiments in my gallery this year too, and even though there's a lot of things I need to improve on, it's exactly what I intend to do. Some of the things I want to try out more soon are various landscapes (both realistic and more cartoony) and I want to do more of huge pieces with the background and story behind them. I will get this goddamn DD, you'll see
2015 was amazing, but 2016 is going to be huge: it's a year when I graduate and a year when I plan on moving countries again, I have huge travelling plans too. My personal goals for it include:
1. Starting and sticking to drawing the comic (not promising when it'll be visible for public since I won't publish it witout finishing the first chapter at least)
2. Finishing my two novels
3. Getting a part or full time job in a game company
4. Being as awesome as humanly possible.
I feel good about it, guys
Have the best New Years, don't be too hangovered tomorrow but have the best time tonight!
Oh, and check the Boomy Twins comic when you'll get time because I am telling you, it's worth it!
